Some journeys take a while...

This album was gathered from under blankets and night skies, inside dreams and beside warm fires.

It is a homecoming album.
Emerging from the ashes of a thousand daily distractions and challenges,

I dedicate it to anyone who has a dream and loves it enough to let it fly.

I start writing simply with just voice and guitar, then the song evolves with the other parts and instruments joining. Cue collaborations .

I love finding the right musicians to fit the particular piece. On the 'Light breaks through' album(available on itunes), there are 19 musicians from all over the world involved throughout the journey of the 10 songs.
Niwell Tsumbu from the Congo lends his virtuso guitar playing on 3 tracks , SougataRoy Chowdhury plays Indian Sarod on ' Homecoming', Ronald Samm hits the high operatic notes toward the crescendo of 'Waiting' and Liam O Maonlaoí speaks and sings the prayer to the ancient goddess of Ireland in ' Sweet and Pure '.
Conceived by the sea on the Dingle peninsula you can hear the influence of the landscape in the dreaminess and atomsophere of the music.
I'm excited to be writing a new album under the collaborative title Signs of Land so watch this space for offerings of songs from that.
